We did try one year, and it was the messiest and most disappointing thing ever. Lots of the commercial presses can extract oil from nuts and seeds, but will tell you they still fail at olives unless you can de-seed them. I don't think I have the commitment to do it.

How wonderful to have an olive harvest in Essex! I wonder if you could create a homemade olive mill to extract the oil??
